Biography

Joanne Zorian trained at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama. She has worked in repertory theatre throughout the country for more than 25 years, appearing in a huge variety of plays by Shakespeare, Beckett, Willy Russell, and Alan Ayckbourn and has worked with with many new directors and writers. She starred in the original London production on Blood Brothers and has toured the UK and to Canada playing Mrs. Lyons and Mrs Johnstone, roles she regular returns to play in London's West End.

Joanne appeared in the first British tour of Annie, the world premiere of Stepping Out, the musical, the world premiere of Alfie, the musical, and Mrs. Peachum in the Bristol Old Vic Theatre production of The Beggars Opera. Joanne co-wrote and performed in the one woman show The Ladies Who Lunch, which played to acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival and in London.

Joanne's TV work includes numerous famous commercials as well as well-known dramas such as The Family Man, Coronation Steet, Casualty, Doctors, Brookside, The Politician's Wife, London's Burning, The Practice, Me and My Girl, Cribb, and Bread.

Film credits include Cor Blimey, Shirley Valentine and Teacher's Pet. She has recorded many radio plays, children's stories and programmes, broadcast travel reports and was an announcer for Channel 4 Television. Her voice can be recognised in commercials all over the country, most recently for the TV advert 'The Invisible Bra' and on a car Sat Nav System!

Joanne is the contestant's coach for SKY TV's Talent Search and is the author of Presenting For TV and Video. She is a regular reader for the Buddhist magazine 'The Art of Living'.
